LIPS  BLUSHING

Lip blush  tattoo is used to enhance the natural lip shape, symmetry, and colour. A customized pigment is applied  to add definition to your lips and conceal imperfections based on your skin tone and personal preference.
Your lips will look like lipstick on the first day, and soften as they heal to become a very subtle, natural looking lip tint. Apply a little gloss or balm and your lips look beautiful for 24-7!
If you are prone to cold sores, lip tattooing can cause outbreaks. We ask that our clients take their prescribed anti-viral medication few days prior to their appointment and after the procedure to prevent any cold sores.
If you have an outbreak, or any other type of scratch/acne we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

who is/isn’t an ideal candidate for lip blushing?
- pregnant or nursing
- diabetic (consult with your doctor)
- undergoing chemotherapy (consult with your doctor)
- had an organ transplant
- epilepsy
- used accutane in the past 6 moths

Before your appointment:
Your lips cannot be dry for the appointment. If they are  dry we will need to reschedule and you will forfeit your deposit. You may exfoliate 3 days before your appointment remove any dry skin. For the week leading up to the appointment you must moisturize your lips as much as possible.

After your appointment:

Lips will feel swollen and very dry after your treatment. Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done at least 14 days post treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed colour. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a liberal amount of ointment.  Always use a clean 1-tip, not the fingers to apply ointment to the lips area. This will reduce the risk of infection.

After lips are no longer tender to the touch they may become flaky. this is normal and is expected. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount pigment absorption. Avoid the sun and tanning beds pre and post procedure. Be sure  to use block once lips are healed. Do not use any glycolic, hydroxy or fruit acid products on lips. Avoid direct direct water pressure, pools and other bodies of water, until healed. You can resume wearing lipstick once lips are healed,  redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness are all  common post treatment side  effects and will dissipate in a short period of time.  Avoid oily, salty, acidic  foods  and alcohol while healing.

Lips are a muscle and may almost always require a touch-up session to complete the process of this procedure. Lips are unpredictable. Some clients will yield very strong healed  lip colour, other will only heal with slight  colour uptake. This will  vary on an individual basis. Clients with sun damage, scar tissue (from injury or fever blister) and clients with implants may not have strong results. Hyper pigmentation can happen  on any lip client without any warning. If you have a history of fever blisters,  cold sores or chicken pox, we advise you to go to the doctor or for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Follow all before and after instructions for all lip treatment. Lip retouch must be schedule 30 to 45 days apart from first session.

Lips heal in three stages too dark (day 2 to 3)- too light (day 6 to 20)- just right (day 20 to 30). This takes on month to happen. Please avoid any friction to lip area.
